"Les quatre elements"
|
« Les quatre éléments », concerto for flute, children choir and small percussion instruments, dedicated to Pierre-Yves Artaud, suggests in four distinct parts Earth, Water, Fire and Air. In a ritual form, sometimes haunting, it is a hymn to nature.
Pierre-Yves Artaud (flutes) and children of Sarrouilles and Vic-en-Bigorre' primary schools (Hautes Pyrénées) premiered it at the Scene Nationale le Parvis, in Ibos, France, in April 2006. The piece is on the CD "Sophie Lacaze - works with flutes" published by Solal (Germany), and is prize-winner of the "Grand Prix Lyceen des Compositeurs 2009".
