"Archelogos II"

« Archelogos » is a series of pieces based on recordings made during archeological diggings near the Pyrenees, mountains in the South of France.

In « Archèlogos II », for bass-flute and recorded sounds, the sounds were gathered on excavations managed by the archeologist David Maso in the castle of Termes (Aude).

The work was commissionned by "le Son MiRé" Festival, and is dedicated to André Dion, its artistic director. It was premiered by Etienne Lecomte (bass-flute) during a concert by Syntax ensemble, in August 2007.
