« Archelogos I », written in 2006, is the first work of a series of pieces for solo voice or instrument and sounds on CD, « Archelogos ». This series is based on recordings made during archeological diggings near the Pyrenees, mountains in the South of France.

In « Archèlogos I », sounds gathered on excavations in Fenouillet Castle (Pyrenees Orientales) were organized in rhythms of dances. The voice reacts to theses sounds and rhythms.

The piece is dedicated to Françoise Vanhecke and David Maso.
