« Archèlogos » est une série de courtes pièces pour instruments ou voix solo et support audio. Cette série se base sur des enregistrements effectués lors de chantiers de fouilles archéologiques aux pieds des Pyrénées.
Dans « Archèlogos I », pièce composée en 2006 pour le spectacle « Electroshocked! » de Françoise Vanhecke, les sons collectés lors des fouilles du château de Fenouillet (Pyrénées Orientales), dirigées par l’archéologue David Maso, ont été organisés en rythmes obstinés évoquant des danses rituelles. La voix réagit à ces sonorités et ces rythmes…

‘Archèlogos’ is a series of short pieces for solo instruments or voice and pre-recorded electronics. This series is based on recordings made during archaeological excavations at the foot of the Pyrenees.
‘Archèlogos I’ was composed in 2006 for the ‘Electroshocked!’ show by Françoise Vanhecke. In this work, the sounds collected during the excavations of the Château de Fenouillet (Pyrénées Orientales, south of France), led by archaeologist David Maso, have been organised into rhythms evocating ritual dances. The voice reacts to these sounds and rhythms.
